Electrician in Abridge
Abridge is a small village on the River Roding, out to the north-east of Buckhurst Hill beyond Chigwell, surrounded by open farmland. We cover the village and the farms and cottages on the lanes around it, including emergency callouts when a fault or a storm leaves you without power.
Homes in Abridge
Abridge has older cottages and period houses around the village centre, some later infill housing, and farmhouses, barns and converted outbuildings in the countryside around it. Rural properties often have long cable runs to stables, workshops and sheds, and some are fed by an overhead supply with an earth rod rather than an earth from the network. That affects how circuits are protected and, in particular, how an EV charger can be installed. Barn conversions can also hide very mixed wiring, so an EICR is worth having before you buy or let one.
Epping Forest District, Essex. Postcodes RM4.
Overhead supply power loss
Emergency fault finding on properties fed by overhead lines, including telling you when the problem sits with the network operator.
Stable and workshop wiring
Lighting and power for stables, barns and workshops, using cable and fittings suited to damp and dusty conditions.
Earth rod testing
Testing and upgrading earth rods and RCD protection on rural supplies, which matters for safety and for EV chargers.
Barn conversion inspections
Condition reports on converted barns and outbuildings where wiring has been added in stages over many years.
